So when I get ready to paint, I already have an image in mind of what I want to do. I’ll sketch on the canvas and paint my background. Then go back to my image and paint it in. Female Yei’s are not seen as much as the males. Also I try not to paint them as I see them. I’ll alter them and make them my own just like any Dine artist. I think it’s good when artists have their own unique style, it’s refreshing even though we share the same culture.
