I painted this Yei Bi Cheii to be completed in time for the Litchfield Art Show in January 2021. I sold the original piece in December 2021 at the Pueblo Grande Art Show. Thank you.
My inspiration was of course my Navajo Culture but also the Asian-Buddhist Culture. The Buddha shrine is actually what inspired me to want to paint this Yei Bi Cheii dancer in this way. See the way he sits with his large belly and posture.
